This is a personal motion design project centered around a short advertisement for Trading 212. The goal of the project was to explore SaaS advertising while highlighting key selling points of the platform in a clear and engaging way. Through clean compositions, purposeful transitions, and simple yet effective motion design techniques, I focused on creating visually appealing animations that maintain viewer attention.

To support the development of the animation, I created a storyboard that maps out the visual flow of each scene. The storyboard illustrates how scenes connect with one another, and how text and motion work together to communicate information clearly. By planning composition, pacing, and visual hierarchy in advance, the storyboard ensured the final animation would feel cohesive, engaging, and easy to follow.

This scene features multiple company stock cards rising smoothly into frame. Each card was first designed in its own composition to ensure clarity and consistency. These compositions were then converted into 3D layers, allowing for subtle depth, parallax, and gentle motion that adds realism without distracting from the information.

In addition to the main sequence, I developed two standalone animations that are integrated into the advertisement to reinforce key messages and enhance visual variety. The animations only appear for a few seconds but provide visual interest and improve the overall production value and quality of the advertisement

I used a simple matchcut to transition between the 2 animations, creating a seamless visual connection between scenes. By aligning shape and motion, the transition feels natural and fluid, helping maintain viewer focus and preventing disruption to the advertisement’s pacing.
